We take health and safety seriously at TrekWild.
Because we take your comfort and safety very seriously, TrekWild has some important general guidelines for all events. Please read them carefully to ensure you fully understand them before partaking in our events & outings.
🚫 Children & animals are not permitted to attend our events.
🚭 For the comfort and safety of our guests, alcohol, tobacco products, vaping devices, and/or drugs of any kind are strictly prohibited for the duration of each event we host and arrange.
🆘 Please alert us to any dietary restrictions, allergies, medical and/or health issues in advance of your participation in any of our events. TrekWild is not responsible for any occurrence(s) related to preexisting conditions.
💰 Should you require any further amenities than what is provided at a particular event or retreat, additional beverages, food, and other items may be available for purchase on site. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
🔸 In the event of inclement weather and/or conditions, events and outings may be cancelled or postponed to another time or date.
🔸 Please wear comfortable, appropriate attire for the duration of our events, including closed-toe shoes when outdoors (i.e. hiking boots, trail running sneakers, etc.). No sandals or flip flops please, except indoors (when applicable).
🔸 By registering for a particular event, you agree to complete the entire event with the TrekWild group; to always stay together in the group without wandering off alone; to conduct yourself in a safe and pleasant manner; to be respectful toward other attendees and the event hosts; and to wear appropriate attire (including closed-toe footwear, like hiking boots, trail runners or sneakers) when outdoors.
🔸 At all times, you assume a reasonable standard of personal responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others. Please keep this in mind and exercise discretion when selecting outings suitable to your fitness level, especially more challenging events.
🔸 For a selection of TrekWild's events, specialty equipment and/or gear is strongly recommended, such as trekking poles, regardless of track difficulty, grade or your experience level. We exercise a "Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it" policy — preparedness is everything when you're out in the elements. The right gear can mean the difference between injury and safety.
🔸 Participation in all TrekWild events is at your own risk. At all times, TrekWild makes available explicit Health & Safety instructions, guidelines, and liability waivers for each of our participants before, during, and after our events.
🔸 Every participant is required to have his/her own travel insurance, including but not limited to coverage(s) for: illness, injury, hospitalization, Medevac (air evacuation), extenuating circumstances, and more. Travel insurance is the sole responsibility of the participant. Your policy(ies) must be effective for the entire duration of the event in which you participate. TrekWild does not provide travel insurance. We may be able to refer you to providers who can assist you with your specific coverage needs.
🔸 As with all natural areas, the grounds, waters, track, coastal area, and surrounding event site may contain minor hazards, like uneven ground, loose stone, sand, slippery areas, exposed tree roots, low hanging tree branches, etc. This can create risk of slipping, falls or other injuries. Be careful with your footing and paddling. Please exercise caution at all times on the trails. Before we commence with our outings, we will brief all participants on the area and what to be aware of. TrekWild is not responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged during our events. TrekWild reserves the right to disallow anyone from participating in our events at any time.
🔸 At any time during our events, we may encounter local wildlife. Encounters with wildlife are often unpredictable and unforeseen, and in some cases cannot be prevented. By agreeing to attend our events, you waive TrekWild of all liability for injuries associated with wildlife encounters, and you agree to exercise caution and avoid direct contact with wildlife at all times during our events.
